BMX maintains a comprehensive conflict of interest policy that requires all directors, officers, and employees to disclose any personal or business interests that may conflict with their duties to the Exchange. Transactions that could create conflicts are subject to enhanced oversight and must be approved by the Board or relevant committee.

BMX operates a Central Counterparty (CCP) model where the Clearing House interposes itself between buyers and sellers. Client assets and margin deposits are held in segregated accounts at approved depositories and are protected from claims of the clearing member's creditors under the Securities Act.
BMX operates a dedicated Market Surveillance Department that monitors trading activity 24/7 to detect and prevent market abuse, including:
- Insider trading
- Market manipulation
- Spoofing and layering
- Wash trading
- Position limit violations
